Sailing is an inherently dangerous undertaking, and can lead to injury or death. Neither QLDIDA nor its members make any representations as to the safety of sailing. Individuals should accept personal responsibility for safety at sea and should ensure that any vessel that they sail upon has adequate safety equipment, conforming to regulations. Persons participate solely at their own risk, and despite warnings of (sometimes) extreme danger.

QLDIDA does not conduct business or sport. It exists purely to facilitate communication between persons and entities interested in the International Dragon Class of Yacht. Any sailing or meetings are organised by individuals acting in their own capacity, and not as members, officers, employees, agents or representatives of any kind of QLDIDA.

Individual Yachts may or may not carry appropriate insurance, and the QLDIDA and individual Yacht owners specifically disavow and deny responsibility for any harm damage or loss whatsoever suffered howsoever by any persons.
